When you first load the DMS Inventory View screen, we will show you un reviewed units- these are units in your DMS that do not have a listing in DX1. Un reviewed, or Pending, inventory will appear on the left.

NOTE - Please note for TALONes users, only units with an inventory type of "S" and inventory status of "A" currently are pulled over into the DX1 DMS Connector

DX1 will suggest inventory and model matches to help you create DX1 listings faster and more efficiently.

The DMS Inventory Screen Summary

When you first view the DMS Inventory View screen, DMS models will appear on the left. In the beginning, you will only see units that do not yet have a DX1 listing. DX1 suggested models will appear on the right.

Search

You may use the search options at the top of the screen to search your DMS inventory for specific units.

Matching and Creating Listings

Use the following options to create DX1 listings or hide a unit from display.

Accept: This option will quickly create a DX1 listing using the suggested model. DX1 will create a default listing with the price set to MSRP. - If ‘Auto Activate Destinations’ is enabled, the unit will also be immediately posted to your DX1 website.
- If you want to show listings on your DX1 Website right away, but aren’t comfortable displaying the MSRP, you can hide prices on your inventory to prevent prices from appearing.

Search: This option will allow you to search your existing DX1 listings for a match, or select another model to create your listing. Once a model is selected, you will need to accept the match in the DMS Inventory View to create the listing

Decline: This option will decline any suggested matches. The unit will be marked as ‘Declined’ and you will not receive additional suggestions for it. No DX1 listing will be created.

Working With Statuses

Pending: These are units that are unreviewed. Initially, all units will be set to Pending until you choose to create a listing or hide the unit.

Accepted: These are active units that have a DX1 Listing.

Declined: These are units that are hidden and do not have a DX1 listing.

Removed: These are units that have an active DX1 Listing, but appear to be removed from your DMS- they could be sold, traded, or otherwise disposed of- all we know is that DX1 Listing is active and we don’t see the unit anymore. The DX1 listing will remain active until the unit is set to Declined status.

Changing a Unit’s Status

You can change a unit’s status by selecting the Accept or Decline icon in the DMS Inventory View Screen.

NOTE: Once a unit has been matched, it cannot be manually set to Removed or Pending status

Additional Options

Inventory can be automatically posted to the website when an exact model match is found. An exact match must have a Model Code, Make, Model

Inventory can be automatically removed from the website when it is sold/removed from the external DMS

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How Does DX1 Decide Which Models to Suggest?

A: When inventory from your DMS arrives, DX1 performs some matching magic to find matching inventory or models that appear to match the inventory unit. The three basic steps are as follows:

  1. Stock Number
First, we check stock numbers on your DMS inventory and look for an existing DX1 Listing with the same number. If we find a match, the existing listing will be displayed as the suggested unit.

  2. Model Details
Next we look for a matching Manufacturer and Model Name in the DX1 model database. We will then check the model year and color for a match. If an exact or close match is found, that model will be displayed as the suggested unit.

  3.  Model Code
If the model code matches a unit in the DX1 database, we check the make, product name and year. If a good match is found, the model will be displayed as the suggested unit.
