Dealers can now take units from their outside DMS ( currently for Lizzie users only) bring them into DX1, and then create listings on the website being hosted by DX1.
Click on the DMS Inventory View on the left.
Units still in your current DMS referred to as Un-Reviewed units inside DX1 will appear on the left. These units have not been turned into listings for the website yet.
DX1 will suggest inventory and model matches to help you create DX1 listings faster and more efficiently. DX1 suggested models will appear on the right.
Search filters are located as shown when looking for specific units inside your external DMS Inventory
Matching and Creating Listings
Accept: This option will quickly create a DX1 listing using the suggested model. DX1 will create a default listing with the price set to MSRP.
Note: If ‘Auto Activate Destinations’ is enabled, the unit will also be immediately posted to your DX1 website.
Note: - If you want to show listings on your DX1 Website right away, but aren’t comfortable displaying the MSRP, you can hide prices on your inventory to prevent prices from appearing.
Search: This option will allow you to search your existing DX1 listings for a match, or select another model to create your listing. Once a model is selected, you will need to accept the match in the DMS Inventory View to create the listing
Decline: This option will decline any suggested matches. The unit will be marked as ‘Declined’ and you will not receive additional suggestions for it. No DX1 listing will be created.
Working With Statuses
Units from your DMS will have a status assigned depending on the activities performed on them.
Pending: These are units that are unreviewed. Initially, all units will be set to Pending until you choose to create a listing or hide the unit.
Accepted: These are active units that have a DX1 Listing.
Declined: These are units that are hidden and do not have a DX1 listing.
Removed: These are units that have an active DX1 Listing, but appear to be removed from your DMS- they could be sold, traded, or otherwise disposed of- all we know is that DX1 Listing is active and we don’t see the unit anymore. The DX1 listing will remain active until the unit is set to Declined status.
Changing a Unit’s Status
You can change a unit’s status by selecting the Accept or Decline icon in the DMS Inventory View Screen.
NOTE: Once a unit has been matched, it cannot be manually set to Removed or Pending status
Frequently Asked Questions
How Does DX1 Decide Which Models to Suggest?
When inventory from your DMS arrives, DX1 performs some matching magic to find matching inventory or models that appear to match the inventory unit. The three basic steps are as follows:
First, we check stock numbers on your DMS inventory and look for an existing DX1 Listing with the same number. If we find a match, the existing listing will be displayed as the suggested unit.
Next we look for a matching Manufacturer and Model Name in the DX1 model database. We will then check the model year and color for a match. If an exact or close match is found, that model will be displayed as the suggested unit.
If the model code matches a unit in the DX1 database, we check the make, product name and year. If a good match is found, the model will be displayed as the suggested unit.
