Form alignment issues can occur when printed information appears offset on your forms, often after Windows updates. The form alignment tool in DX1 allows you to quickly adjust text positioning by moving it up, down, left, or right to correct these printing offsets.
In this document, we will cover the following topics
- How to access the form alignment tool
- How to adjust form positioning
- How to preview and save your alignment changes
1. How to access the form alignment tool
- From the Dealership Dashboard, navigate to Major Unit Sales.
- You have two options to access the forms:
- Open an existing deal and click the Print button, or
- Click the Print icon directly from the Active Major Unit Invoicing List (recommended for quicker access).
- Once the Major Unit Forms pop-up opens, locate the form that needs alignment adjustment.
- Click the gear icon (Print Alignment icon) next to the form name.
- The Print Alignment Tool will open.

2. How to adjust form positioning
- The tool displays vertical and horizontal offset values in inches. New forms will show 0.00 for both values.
- Use the directional buttons (up, down, left, right) to adjust form positioning. Each click moves the form by 0.02 inches.
- Based on your alignment issue, click the appropriate direction button. For example, if text appears too low on the form, click the up button to move it higher.
- Make incremental adjustments. You may need to test several times to find the correct offset.

3. How to preview and save your alignment changes
- After adjusting, click the "Download PDF" button to preview your changes.
- The PDF will download to your browser. Open it to review the alignment.

- If the alignment still needs adjustment, return to the Print Alignment Tool and make additional changes. Click "Download PDF" again to review.
- Repeat the adjust and preview process until the form appears correctly aligned.
- Once satisfied with the alignment, click the "Save" button.
- A notification will confirm your settings have been successfully saved.
- You can close the alignment tool and test print the form to verify your changes have been applied.
Note: This tool gives you immediate control over form alignment without waiting for support assistance, allowing you to continue printing forms and processing deals without delay.
