If you are looking to speed up the printing process for a major unit purchase then this is the feature for you. Depending on the state you operate in or the type of units you sell, there can be a lot of forms associated with the Major Unit sale. The ability to create a group not only speeds up the process when printing, it also assists the right forms for the right units, that are being used. Let's face it, dealerships always coming and going and this is a great tool to assist that new person trying to understand all the requirements to complete the dealer with all the correct forms printed and presented to the customer.

Installing JSPM


  • To improve printing functionality in DX1 it is recommended to download and install the latest of JSPM. You can do that by following this link. The current version is JSPM7 (10/11/2024). Once the installer opens follow the instructions and once installed restart your machine


How to Manage Which Forms are Active in the Forms Print Window


  • The first step is to determine which form should be active or not. To do this click the Sales tile under Major Units



  • Once you land on the Active Sales list you can click the Forms option in the Collapse Menu, which is located on the left-hand side of the screen



  • You will see a full list of the dealership forms. If you want a form to no longer show in the Major Units Forms pop-up, simply uncheck it and click Save on the top right of the page. 



  • If you need to reactivate a form you can click the Show Inactive check box to the right of the search bar. Check it and click the search button. Click the checkbox next to the form you would like to reactivate, and click Save, it will now show back up in the Major Units Forms pop up list of forms.



How to Create and Modify a Form Group


  • The first thing to do is to go create a Print Group. To do this click the Sales tile under Major Units 



  • Once we land on the Major Unit Active Saleslist page you will click the Forms Group option in the Collapse Menu located on the left-hand side of your screen. This will land you on the Forms Groups Page



  • To create a new group click the + Add button



  • You will nw be in the New Form Group pop-up. Here you can give your group a name and description and check the forms you want to be included in the form group, it is that simple, now just click the Save button and you will have created your form group



  • You will now be on the Form Group list where see and manage the group. Just like an individual form you can also set a Form Group as inactive or active. Additionally if you need to edit the form group you can do it by clicking the record in the list. This will open the Form Group up where you can make the changes you need to.



How to use Form Groups in the Major Unit Forms Print Pop-Up


  • The first step is to determine which form should be active or not. To do this click the Sales tile under Major Units



  • In our next step, you have a couple of options. Your first option is to print right from the Active Sale grid by clicking the printer icon associated with the desired deal. Your second option is to open the deal and click the print button, either way, you are going to see this pop-up where you can choose a form group



  • If a quote or deal has multiple units you have the option to use the print group for both units or you can select a desired unit in the Select Unit drop-down



  • Now that you have your form group and unit selected you can click the Print Groups button and let the system work for you. Your forms will not all open in Adobe at one time where you can quickly print each form. Don't forget if you need to quickly need to adjust the form group on a single case basis you can do that here by checking or unchecking additional forms.
