Smart Notifications are designed to provide service and parts users a simple way to view user configured system generated notifications related to a wide variety of dealership workflows. Think a virtual communication employee who never leaves the dealership.

1) How to Access Smart Notifications in Dealership Settings
- From the dashboard click your initials in the upper right corner of the screen
- Click the Dealership Settings option in the drop down.
- In the left navigation menu, you will scroll down and see the Smart Notifications option, click Smart Notifications.
- On the page you will see two tabs, one for Service and the other for Parts. Click your desired department.
- To turn off a Smart Notification you will simply click the toggle to off. As default all notifications are set to on.
- Click Save
2) Who Has Permission to Use Smart Notifications?
- Smart Notifications are by default usable for:
- Service
- Service Writer, Service Manager, General Manager, Accountant, Administrators, and Owner.
- Parts
- Parts Manager, General Manager, Accountant, Administrators, and Owner.
- Service
- To turn on Smart Notifications for additional users, go to your initials again and click the Users option in the drop down list. If you do not have permission to change user settings, you will need to contact your system administrator.
- Type the first name of the desired user and click the Search button.
- Click the row of the desired user.
- Scroll down to all the customizable user options and find either part or service. Once there you will check the box next to Smart Notifications.
- Click Save.
- Do an Application Reset in the initial drop down list.
- Have the user with the new permissions do the same thing.
- NOTE: If you turn this on for a technician only role it will turn them into a billable user.
