Dealers are going to have situations where customers are looking for units they do not have on order. In this case DX1 suggests using a model placement withing a quote. Keep in mind you will NOT be able to add any service quotes with parts. If you really think you are going to find a unit where a service quote is needed, create a Coming Soon unit instead. This will allow you to add service and parts to a quote
Note: When working with ANY Invoice, each user will need to click save button at least every 20 minutes. If a user walks away from the open Invoice without saving within that 20 minute time frame changes to the Invoice will be lost!
Click New Quote from the menu on the left
Click Add Unit from the menu on the left
Under Type click the drop down box and change to models. Use the search filters to find the needed model. Click on the model and then Add Selected
N/A will show under the stock # section of the quote. Add any additional model or stock numbers if applicable. Once done click Save.
Note: Deposits can be taken during a non- inventory quote and trade in units can also be taken inventory to be sold immediately. For details on how to take a trade in for a non inventory quote click the link below:
Taking in a trade before the unit is sold
Note: Dealers can also add a cost to a Non - Inventory quote as well. This allows the dealer to get a clearer picture of profit made before the unit comes in and converted to a deal.
Click on Total Amount Due in the lower right hand corner of the Invoice Details screen.
Click on the Cost field and enter in the needed value then click Update Profit
The profit has now been adjusted under Total Amount Due
Once the model has been added to inventory go back and open the saved quote. Click on the two arrows symbol next to the N/A.
Choose the unit from the drop down then click Save . Users can also select another unit from inventory with the search icon on the right
Users will be asked if they want to make any changes to default pricing click yes or no
The stock number will be added. Complete the rest of the sale process as normal
