Outlook.com is the online Microsoft email client that will allow you to receive all customer emails as well as DX1 email notifications of quotes, orders, finance applications, etc.

                            

IMPORTANT: Outlook.com will not support IMAP email addresses. You must use POP3.

                            

NOTE: We highly recommend that you install anti-virus software on your computer, and have it setup to receive on-line updates. You do not want to send viruses to your customers, nor receive viruses from customer emails.

                            

How to Setup Outlook.com

                            

                         

Navigate  to Outlook.com.

                          

Sign in using your Outlook.com (Microsoft) email and password.

                                

Click the advanced dropdown and select Options.                                                      

                            

                                

Click Your email accounts.                        

                                                      

                            

                                

Under Add an email account, click Add a send-and-receive account.  

                               

In the Name field, enter the name you would like to have displayed on the outgoing emails associated with this email account.

                            

                            

NOTE: This is the name that will appear in the "To" line of an email. It can be the individual name of a salesperson if you have setup individual email addresses through DX1, or you may prefer a broader title such as "Sales at [DealerName]," or "Info at [DealerName]," etc. 

                            

                                

In the Email address field, enter the DX1 assigned email address you are setting up. (Ex. info@joesmotorcycles.com

                    

                                                                            

                            

                                

Type mail.[dealername].com into the Server address field under Incoming (POP3) server information. (Ex. mail.joesmotorcycles.com) Select 110 in the Port drop down.

                                

Ensure the box labeled Requires a secure connection (SSL) is unchecked.

                                

Ensure the box labeled Leave a copy of messages on the server is selected if you wish to manage your messages via other email clients.

                                

In the Username field, enter the DX1 assigned email address you are setting up. (Ex. info@joesmotorcycles.com

                                

Enter the password you created in the Password field.                                                 

                            

                               

Select the radio button labeled Send email using your provider's server (recipient will not see your Outlook address)

                               

Type mail.[dealername].com into the Server address field under Outgoing (SMTP) server information. (Ex. mail.joesmotorcycles.com) Select 25 in the Port drop down.

                                

Ensure the box labeled Requires a secure connection (SSL/TLS) is unchecked.

                                

Check the box labeled Use the same username and password to send and receive email.

                                

Click Next.

                                                  

                   

  Select the location where you want DX1 mail to go and the options for your unread messages. Click Save.
