This feature allows you to update the prices (DSP) of some or all of your parts immediately or set up rules to automatically update the prices as the MSRP or Cost in the price file changes.

You have the following three options, below we will explain when and how to use each option:

1) One-time Update

2) Dealership Default Rule

3) Catalog Level Rule

One-time Update

A One-time Update should be used when you want to immediately update the DSP of a specific set or all parts in your inventory.  A One-time Update can only be run once.

Steps to create and run a One-time Update:

1) From the dashboard click the green Inventory Management tile

2) From the left Menu under Pricing select New One-Time Update

3) Start by naming your update and giving it a short description, these values will help you remember why you ran the update and what you updated.

4) Select the Escalator and Rounder (optional) you would like to apply, if you have not already set up Escalator and Rounder rules and need help doing so please refer to this help doc: Escalators and Rounders

5) If you want to set a Minimum Price, set the Minimum price and turn On the Minimum Price Per Item toggle

Note: Setting a Minimum Price means that after the selected Escalator/Rounder are applied, if the New DSP is still under the selected Minimum Price and the New DSP different than the Old DSP (price changed) the New DSP will be increased to the set Minimum Price.

6) In the On Condition section you can define the filter for what you want to update, if you do not select anything the update will be applied to ALL of your inventory parts, parts you have or have had in inventory in the past (black parts).

7) Once you have everything the way you want it click the "Preview" button in the top right to see a preview of which parts will be updated and how the prices will change

8) On this page you can see which part numbers will be affected by the update, you can uncheck the box next to any specific part number you do NOT want to update (All part numbers will come pre-checked when the preview button is clicked on.)

NOTE: DX1 recommends that any part number that is sold in bulk (example: Bulk Fuel) where the cost has to be changed not be included in the running of the Escalator so that the bulk product cost is not updated.

9) If everything looks good you can click Apply to actually update your inventory Prices, if you you need to change something you can click the X in the top right to revise the update and the try again

Dealership Default Rule

If you want to keep the DSP of all of your parts up to date as Price files (Public and Private) are updated you should set up the Dealership Default Rule.  The Dealership Default Rule will be run every time a price file is updated assuming there is not a catalog level (see below) rule set up.

Steps to setup the Dealership Pricing Rule

1) Click your initials in the orange square in the top right and select Dealership Settings

2) From the left Menu under Pricing select Part Settings

3) Scroll down to the Default Part Pricing Rule Information section

4) In this section select the Escalator Rule and Rounder Rule (optional) that you would like to have applied whenever any price file is updated

5) Once set click Save

Note:  Once set, the selected Escalator and Rounder will be applied to ALL future price file updates unless specific rules are set for a catalog.  If a catalog has one or more rules set these rules will not be applied to ANY parts in that catalog.

Catalog Level Rule

If you want to specify rules specific to a given catalog or even a specific category for a specific Catalog you can set up Catalog Level Rules to keep the DSP of the parts in that catalog and or category up to date as Price file is updated.  A Catalog Level Rule will be run every time the price file is updated.

Steps to set up a Catalog Level Rule

1) From the dashboard click the green Inventory Management tile

2) From the left Menu under Management select Catalog Management

3) Locate or use the search at the top to locate the catalog you wish to set up a catalog level rule for

4) Once on the page for the catalog select the Default Pricing from the left menu

5) For Catalog Level Pricing Rules you have two options, you can either set up a rule all of the parts in the catalog  "Default Pricing" or set up a rule for each part Category in that catalog "Category Pricing".  Use the radio button to select which option you would like.

6) In the appropriate section select the Escalator Rule and Rounder Rule (optional) that you would like to have applied whenever the price file for this catalog is updated

5) Once set click Save

Note:  If a catalog has one or more rules set the Dealership Default Rule will NOT be applied to ANY parts in that catalog.
