How to add or change a Primary, Secondary, and F&I Salesperson to a MU invoice.
When in the major unit invoice you can use the drop-down options to set the Primary, Secondary, and F&I Salesperson.
To deselect a salesperson use the corresponding drop-down and set the user to the “Please Select” option in the user list. It will be the first option at the top of the dropdown search.
Note: If you find you cannot select or modify salespersons make sure the “Allow Salesperson Selection” is checked in your user settings.
How to view and apply commissions when in a MU invoice.
To view a salesperson commission value in the commission window a salesperson must first be set in the Primary, Secondary, or F&I Salesperson dropdowns in the major unit invoice.
Click the menu in the upper right-hand corner then choose Commissions.
If a standard commission type was set the selected salesperson will automatically show in the commission window and Primary Salesperson and Secondary Salesperson commissions will be split the standard commission rate 50/50 for MU Sales and Parts and Service.
Note: Each time a modification is made to a salesperson in the MU invoice and the commission window is opened again, you will see the changes based on the selected salespersons in the MU invoice. Any previous manual changes will be overwritten.
How to modify salesperson commissions in the commission window.
To modify or delete an existing commission in the Commissions window you will select the pencil or trash can icon where you can make the desired changes to the Assign Commission window.
Once the Assign Commission window is open you can make the necessary changes to the existing commission.
Note: You will only be able to modify commissions for salespersons selected in the deal. You can add commissions for additional users once the deal is posted.
Using commissions when no default commission type is set.
If no default commission type is set there will be no salespersons commissions calculations shown when the commission window is opened. Users can add a commission by selecting the pencil icon in the commission window where they can select only users who are assigned as salespersons in the MU invoice.
Using the Assign Commission window users will have to choose what unit, salesperson, commission type, and amount to apply to the salesperson. When adding a secondary salesperson no commission splits will be made. The users must set each commission value per salesperson.
