Layaway Parts process
Note: When working with ANY Invoice, each user will need to click save button at least every 20 minutes. If a user walks away from the open Invoice without saving within that 20 minute time frame changes to the Invoice will be lost!
Note: a part can only be put on a layaway status if the part is IN STOCK.
From the Dx1 Dashboard Click on the Sales Tile under Parts and Accessories
Click on New Invoice on the left hand side of the screen
Once the customer has been added, enter or search for the part number
Click in the Lwy field and enter in the amount, then tab over
Click back over to the amount in the Sold field and delete it
Click on the cashier tab in the lower left hand corner and take any deposits if applicable. If not, click Complete Sale in the upper right hand corner.
A receipt will print and any deposit amount taken will show as well. Click on the Export to PDF button to email the receipt if applicable
To take additional payments in the future, click on the dollar sign icon on the left hand side as shown.
