First, you’ll need a PayPal account. Access and sign up for a business account, or, if you already have a personal PayPal account you’d like to use, upgrade the account to a PayPal business account.

Once your account is ready to go, perform the following setup steps to enable DX1 ecommerce payment processing:

  1. Activate API Permissions within PayPal; this step is necessary to allow DX1 to communicate with your PayPal account.

    1. Log in to your PayPal account

    2. Click Profile at the top right, and select Profile and Settings.

    3. In the left menu, click My selling tools.

    4. In the Selling online section, click Update next to API access.

    5. On the API Access page, click Grant API Permission.

    6. Enter the following information in the user field:

    7. Select Lookup

    8.  Check the following recommended selections in API Access:

      2.  Issue a refund for a specific transaction.

      3. Process your customers credit or debit card payments.

      4. Authorize and capture your PayPal transactions.

      5. Obtain information about a single transaction.

      6. Search your transactions for items that match specific criteria and display the results.

      7. Accept or deny a pending transaction

      8. Issue a refund for any prior transaction

    9.  Click Add.

  1. Access the PayPal Info screen by selecting the Manage Fiche/Catalog Shop tile and logging in to the ecommerce management area. If you do not see the Manage Fiche/Catalog Shop tile, proceed to Step 2 or contact support.

  2. Select PayPal Info below E-Commerce in the left hand menu

  3. Enter the email address associated with your PayPal account in the PayPal Login field

  4. Click Submit

You are now ready to receive payments from your DX1 website.
